Downloading all dropbox files on ipad

To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. I have an iPad Pro 9. From iCloud in files it works well, and from the Dropbox app also ok, the problem is from Dropbox on the files app.

The app shows all the contents but when trying to download a file it keeps on waiting to download and never starts. Posted on Oct 14, AM. I simply removed the dropbox "location" from my files app, and reinserted it, now it works perfectly. Hope this solves it for you too. Posted on Nov 7, AM. Page content loaded. As far as I see, it saves only files marked as "Favorite". Adding everything manually does not seem convenient Not really. It isn't designed to store everything, but does try to cache files you have downloaded and save them as long as the iOS device doesn't run low on space and tell apps to throw away files that can be re-downloaded. Keeping more than a Gigabyte of free space on the filesystem will keep iOS from purging the files dropbox has downloaded.

That's not possible with the Dropbox app on iOS. A good alternative would be GoodReader which allows to sync Dropbox folders. I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded!

Thanks, that's interesting. I don't have anything in my 'My Documents' folder in Goodreader, but I'll have a go at seeing how I would get stuff into there.

You can get it in via a plethora of different means: iTunes file sharing, opening from email, tap and hold an attachment , via any webdav server, mobileMe, you name it they probably have it I had NO idea.

This makes me think I need to go back and read GoodReader's docs to see what else it can do. Guillermo Esteves Guillermo Esteves 4 4 silver badges 8 8 bronze badges. Habilis is "retired' — Jaydles.
